Hill Country San Antonio

Cedar, Hardwood & Pressure-Treated Wood Decks

Classic natural-wood decks in cedar, hardwoods and pressure-treated pine — warm, authentic and built to suit the Hill Country look.

Cedar & Wood Decks built for Texas living

Nothing matches the warmth of real wood, and it fits the stone-and-timber character of so many Hill Country homes. We build with pressure-treated pine for value, cedar for its color and natural resistance, and dense hardwoods for a premium, long-lasting surface.

Wood decks in our climate need the right details to last: proper board spacing, quality fasteners, good ventilation underneath and a protective finish applied at the right time. We build those details in from day one and can keep your deck sealed on a maintenance schedule.

Options & upgrades

  • Pressure-treated pine
  • Western red cedar
  • Hardwoods such as ipe and other dense exotics
  • Stained or clear-sealed finishes

FAQ

Cedar & Wood Decks questions

How long does a wood deck last in Texas?

A well-built and regularly sealed wood deck can last for decades. Lifespan depends heavily on the species, how well the deck drains and ventilates, and how consistently it is maintained.

How often should a wood deck be sealed?

In full Texas sun, plan on cleaning and re-sealing every one to three years depending on the product and exposure. We offer staining and sealing as a separate service.

Is cedar better than pressure-treated pine?

Cedar has a richer color, is more stable and naturally resists decay, but costs more. Pressure-treated pine is the most affordable structural option and is what we use for most deck framing regardless of the surface board.

What areas do you serve for cedar & wood decks?
